WHO SHOULD USE OUR SERVICES?

 All members of the community, individuals, family members without discriminating any race, gender, age, religion or group within our area of service.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  • All clients receiving our service are treated in confidentiality and admission has to be on voluntary basis and should meet the following requirements:
  • Show motivation and insight
  • Must adhere to the rules, regulations of the treatment plan
  • Medical condition need to be stable and the client functional
  • Client with Dual Diagnosis referred to Zamani Clinic
  • Previous out-patient admissions are considered
  • Clients accompanied by the significant others

INTAKE AND ASSESSMENT

  • The client is admitted for a 4 month program and the intake and assessment of the user is conducted to ascertain;
  • Full assessment and severity of the problem
  • Drugging history and diagnosis
  • Determining prognosis and orientation and setting of expectations.

DRUG TESTING AND MEDICAL SERVICES

  • Medical assessment and examination
  • Urine Sample required for a Multi – Drug test
  • Post counselling when tested positive and admission to the programme
  • Medical treatment and administration of withdrawal symptoms

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES

  • Individual Therapy
  •  Couple and family Therapy
  •  Parents and employer feedback sessions
  •  Motivation conducted for clients who need to be prepared for in-patient treatment
  • Clients need to be contained whilst waiting for in-patient treatment

STATUTORY SERVICES

  • Court referrals and Liaison
  • Report Writing for in-voluntary committals
  • Admission to the in-patient rehabilitation under section 22 of Act 20 of 1992
  • Drug testing compulsory for court referrals

YOUTH PROGRAMME

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 15h00
  • Seven Group Sessions on Advanced Skills programme on the following
  • Personal Identity
  • Drug related Education
  • Social Competencies
  • Group identity
  • Stress Management
  • Coping skills and Goal Setting
  • Values and Boundaries

AFTERCARE PROGRAMME

  • Therapeutic
  • Clients need to be clean at least 6 weeks and working actively on Maintenance
  • Negotiated with individual clients based on their availability
  • Support group on all Saturdays
  • Narcotics Anonymous : 09h00 to 10h00
  • Alcoholics Anonymous :10h00 to 11h00
  • Open and closed meetings

STATUTORY SERVICES

  • Awareness and Prevention in all communities
  • Invitation will be an advantage to honour
  • Youth camps and School Holiday Programmer
  • Contact making and community profile
  • Networking and liaison with community service providers
  • Member of the Local Drug Action Committee
  • Awareness through Poppets, Talks and Exhibitions
  • Training and facilitation of workshops
  • Implementation of programmes in communities, departments and institutions. at.
